Turn right onto the a14 towards Felixstowe. Take the first turning off of the a14 to Ipswich and Worstead. (A137). Head for Ipswich Town Centre. If coming from the East (A14 - Bury St Edmunds), do not take Ipswich West or the Ipswich Central, A12 London turning; Stay on the A14. Take the next turning (A137) for Ipswich and Worstead and head for Ipswich Town Centre. After approximately 1.5 miles, you will come to a series of roundabouts, continue towards the town centre. At the traffic lights, get in the outside lane, go straight across and over a river bridge. Stay in the outside lane and go straight to the first roundabout and take the second exit at the next roundabout (turning to the right on the A1022, Star Lane). Stay in the outside lane, a church will be on your right hand side. Continue on the outside lane and follow the brown and white Tourist Info signs to the Salthouse Hotel.
