The Anchor pub A traditional English pub right in the heart of the historical city of Cambridge.
Beautifully refurbished inside and out, The Anchor is the best place to relax, chat, enjoy a pint of fine real ale, try a traditional English Sunday roast and watch the punts float by on the river Cam from our riverfront terrace.
Descriptions This large pub is a favorite among local college students and tourists. The convenient location offers excellent views of the River Cam. Punting tour rentals are found just outside of the pub. Customers enjoy the standard pub menu items as well as a nice variety of beers and ales. The indoor dining room has a café-like atmosphere. Diners can also sit outdoors in the refreshing terrace when weather permits.
Openings times and booking We are open every day of the week from 10am (11am on Sundays) and serve food all day. Traditional English breakfasts and vegetarian food are a specialties, as is of course the classic Sunday roast.
We are available for party bookings up for up to 100 people until 12.30pm, and there is even a cash machine inside the pub. Children are welcome until 7pm, but must be supervised at all times.

Directions: <P>The Anchor is located alongside the river Cam in central Cambridge, right next to Silver Street Bridge and just a minute's walk from the Market Square and central colleges.</P>
<P>From the Market square and historic town centre, follow Kings Parade until it meets Silver Street, and turn right.</P>
<P>From the bus station or Regent Street area, take Downing Street and keep walking until you reach the river. The Anchor is on your right down a short alley way, about five minutes.</P>
