By Road From the South, exit the M74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow centre (M8). Continue on M8 to Greenock and follow signs to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow). Take either ferry Calmac or Western (three per hour) at Gourock for 20 minute crossing to Dunoon. Alternatively take a more leisurely and scenic drive via the Erskine Bridge and Loch Lomond National Park to approach Dunoon by road (70 miles from Glasgow). By Air Only 1 hour from Glasgow Airport or 1 hour 15 minutes from Prestwick Airport (including ferry crossing). By Rail Hourly service from Glasgow Central station to Gourock pier for connection to Dunoon ferry.
